LEARNING LOG WEEK 32

MATH:  I wrote my numbers.  I added numbers to 10. I skip counted by 5s and practiced with clocks telling time.

LANGUAGE ARTS:  I read books to my grandma.  I did spelling and handwriting too.

SCIENCE:  I'm still learning about little things that only have one cell.  They're so small you can only see them under a microscope.

ENGINEERING:  I built lots of new things with my legos this week.  I built something new every day.  I like building new things.

SWIMMING:  I missed swimming class this week because my mom was in the hospital.  I'll be back next week.

LEARNING LOG WEEK 31

MATH:  I learned more about clocks.  There are 12 numbers on the clock.  I also practiced writing numbers.

LANGUAGE ARTS:  I read books to my mom.  I did reading and spelling. 

SCIENCE:  I'm learning about tiny one cell creatures.  I'm also learning about kingdoms and where animals should go in groups.

ENGINEERING:  I like building things.  I build some new things with my legos.  My brother built some things with me. It was super fun!

SWIMMING:  I missed swimming this week because I was sick.  I'll make sure to catch up next week.

LEARNING LOG WEEK 30

MATH:  I learned about clocks.  I learned you count by 5s.  There are 12 numbers on the clock.  I also practiced writing numbers.

LANGUAGE ARTS:  I read books to my mom.  I did reading and spelling. 

SCIENCE:  I'm learning about tiny one cell creatures.  I'm also learning about kingdoms and where animals should go in groups.

ENGINEERING:  I like building things.  I build some new things with my legos.  My brother built some things with me.

SWIMMING:  I missed swimming this week because I was sick.  I'll be back next week.

LEARNING LOG WEEK 29

MATH:  I practiced writing numbers.  I used beans to find out which number was missing to add to ten.

LANGUAGE ARTS:  I read books to my mom.  I did handwriting and spelling.

SCIENCE:  We looked at bacteria in dishes.  We put probiotics in one of the dishes to see what would happen to the bacteria.

ENGINEERING:  I built some new things with my legos.  I like building with my legos.

KARATE:  I took a test.  I passed and got my double yellow striped belt.  I broke boards and did my punches and kicks.  I used nun-chucks.

LEARNING LOG WEEK 28

MATH:  For math I started learning how to tell time.  I counted by 5s.  I practiced writing numbers.

LANGUAGE ARTS:  I read books to my mom.  I did worksheets with words.  I did spelling and handwriting.

SCIENCE:  I learned about bacteria.  We looked at it under a microscope.  I like microscopes.

ENGINEERING:  I built new designs with my legos.  I like building new things.  My brother helped me.

SWIMMING:  I was sick this week so I missed swimming.  I'll be back next week.

LEARNING LOG WEEK 27

MATH:  For math I found the missing numbers to count to 10 using beans.  I also practiced skip counting by 5s.

LANGUAGE ARTS:  I read a new book, and I read stories from my Classics book.  I read to my dad.  I did spelling and handwriting.  I wrote sentences.

SCIENCE:  I learned about constellations.  I made the Big Dipper with toothpicks and marshmallows.  Some people used to think the stars in the sky made shapes that looked like people and animals.

ENGINEERING:  I built a car and a building.  I love building new things with my legos.

KARATE:  I practiced kicks, punches, and blocks.  I also ran around the room in my fighting stance.

LEARNING LOG WEEK 26

MATH:  I learned how to find the missing number adding to 10.  I also practiced writing numbers.  I will be learning about clocks soon.

LANGUAGE ARTS:  I read a book called "Jill".  I also read a book called "Small Things".  I did handwriting and spelling.  I practiced a poem. 

SCIENCE:  I learned about cells.  Some cells can join together and some are just by themselves.  We looked at pictures of cells.

ENGINEERING:  I built a building with my legos.  I also built an airplane.  I like making new things.

KARATE:  I practiced my fighting stance.  I learned some new kicks and punches and blocks.
