LEARNING LOG WEEK 6

MATH: I wrote numbers.  I matched up numbers too and played with magformers to build new shapes.

LANGUAGE ARTS: I got a new stuffed animal, Ziggy the zebra.  He helps me read and play reading games.  My brother likes Ziggy too.  I read books with my mom.

SCIENCE: I learned about water.  If you dig down deep enough you can find water in the ground.  I made a well with a pump with my brothers to bring water up from under the rocks.
I also went to the museum.  I learned about animals that live in the trees like birds and squirrels and what sounds they make.

ENGINEERING:  I built some new things with my Legos.  My favorite was a glider.

KARATE:  I went to karate.  I got a sticker that says "Future Black Belt."  I love karate so much.

LEARNING LOG WEEK 5

MATH:  For math I counted and wrote numbers.  I matched numbers with pictures.

LANGUAGE ARTS:  This is my brother with the fidget flippers we made with some homeschooling friends.  I also played word games with my brother and my mom.  I took the DIBELS test.  I made words with letter tiles.

SCIENCE: The earth is mostly made of water.  Most of the water is salt water that you can't drink.  Water can be liquid, solid or gas.

ENGINEERING: I made a motorcycle, a flying space craft, a bird, and a building with Legos.  I also went to the museum and built a huge building with my brother.

KARATE:  I did side kicks and front kicks.  I learned a fighting stance.  I say, "Yes, sir!" to my teacher.

LEARNING LOG WEEK 4

MATH: I wrote numbers 0-9.  I counted and matched up numbers.

LANGUAGE ARTS:  I read a book to my mom about a ferrit.  I played ziggy goes to the beach with word cards.  I wrote letters.

SCIENCE:  I went on a nature walk and drew pictures of insects and plants I saw.  I saw a bird, a lizard, ant hills, bees, flowers and plants.  I also learned about water.  It can be solid like ice or a liquid or gas.

ENGINEERING: I built a car with my brother.  I built a building with a secret door by myself.

KARATE: I went to karate.  I learned side kicks and front kicks.  Side kicks are my favorite.

LEARNING LOG WEEKS 1-3

MATH: For Math, I had fun.  I counted animals.  I wrote numbers.  I played with the apple game.

LANGUAGE ARTS: I read cards that had words on them.  I put the right words with the right pictures.  I looked for vowels on the back of the apple cards.  I tied with my mom, and I helped her do lots of fun stuff.

SCIENCE:  We made solar ovens and cooked s'mores.  We had friends over to learn about the eclipse.  I went to Idaho and saw the funnest eclipse in the world.
 I also learned about how water loves to climb up stuff, but gravity tries to pull it down, but if you put a paper towel then the water climbs up it and goes to the other side and you can't believe your eyes.

ENGINEERING:  I learned how to build a motorcycle with Legos.  The wheels actually move, and I built a Lego house on my own.

KARATE:  I love karate.  Karate is the funnest karate in the world.  When the teacher says to do something, you say, "Yes, sir!"  You bow to go in first and you bow to get out too.  My teacher taught me how to bow.  This is a picture with me with my brothers.
